Overview
We are searching for a contract Language Ambassador to work remotely with Snap Inc!
Working closely with the Localization team, you will help us build a unique and relevant app experience for Snapchatters. Through your passion for Snapchat and expertise in localization, you’ll identify opportunities and improve various content offerings in your country. This is a part-time, hourly contract role.
What you’ll do:
- Review all translations for Snap Inc.’s products (including but not limited to: user interfaces, legal documents, website, support content, etc.) within a 24 hour review time window
- Translate and review imagery assets such as Geofilters and Sales & Marketing materials
- Provide feedback to a translation agency to improve quality of translations
- Evaluate experience on Snapchat in your language, report bugs, and provide QA in-language test results
- Conduct independent research and provide unique cultural insights and market expertise for global product development
- Collect sentiment from the Snapchatter community and local media
- Submit summaries and feedback of Snapchat’s App Store and Google Play reviews
- Collaborate with content curators to create culturally relevant Live Stories through research, insights, and real-time translations
- Snap on-site at local events for the Live Stories team as needed
What we’re looking for:
- Residence in your country
- An ability to speak and write in your local language fluently and idiomatically
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience with translation management tools a plus
- Experienced researcher with superb analytical skills
- Dedication to meeting deadlines and producing results
- A love for and deep understanding of Snap Inc. products!
Logistics:
The Language Ambassador Program is offered in multiple locations around the world. You’ll be communicating deliverables to the team via video-calls, emails, and Snaps!
