SB Nation’s American Ninja Warrior Nation is looking to add a contributor to the site. This is a contractor position that pays a monthly stipend, and will require both day and night work, as needed. We value writers that help enrich discussion on our sites, promote our material on social media and cover everything involved with the Ninja Warrior community.

-The Staff We Need-

Contributor: As-needed editorial and site manager

The Ninja Warrior world is a busy one! As our full-time staffers head out to events, we need a trust-worthy, talented Ninja fan to look after the online community. This role would help run the site for 4-5 days at a time: Publishing articles, updating social media platforms and conversing online with other fans.

The person we need helping with this endeavor should be able to write concisely and would operate effectively on a schedule. While they’ll be in touch with editors, this person will need to originate their own content ideas and be able to adapt to the tone of the website.

Minimum Qualifications

1. You are a passionate fan of American Ninja Warrior.
2. You can take the thoughts inside your head and transcribe them into competent arrangements of English words that effectively communicate your idea, i.e., you need to be able to write complete sentences. And more!
3. You are familiar with social media platforms and how the Ninja Warrior community uses them. (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
4. You have the ingenuity and drive to discover Ninja Warrior related topics for articles with little guidance.
5. You take genuine pride in your writing, your discussions and how you gather facts and data to back them up.

Preferred qualifications

1. You are an active member of one of our communities who submits FanPosts or FanShots or are very interested in figuring out how the site operates and communicates.
2. You are active on Twitter and/or Facebook, spending time looking for fresh news and analysis Ninja Warrior.
3. You enjoy discussing Ninja Warrior on our website and want to enrich the discussion in our comments.
4. You are a self-starter, someone who can take initiative with respective tasks.
5. Please provide writing samples and let us know what role you’re interested in upon applying.
