Overview

We are looking for a visual designer with solid skills in graphic design and an excellent eye for typography, clean layout, purposeful color, and refined style. You must have a deep appreciation for simple, sleek, usable websites and interfaces. Therefore, you must think strategically while executing with great attention to detail. You must have the ability to successfully collaborate with other designers, project managers, and engineers to develop innovative, user-friendly products designed to enhance our clients’ abilities to succeed. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, excellent visual design skills, great technical know-how, and proven expertise in designing for the web.

Absolute Requirements (no exceptions)

  • Minimum 3 years experience designing web-based products as a key member of a design team.
  • True leader, charismatic, communicator
  • Obsess over every pixel
  • Able to successfully refine complex tasks and requirements to create easy to use and stunningly beautiful user interfaces.
  • Able to work boldly with a strong development team, presenting ideas/designs effectively.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to manage competing priorities, and meet critical project deadlines.
  • Effective problem solver, able to come up with creative solutions and entertain alternative solutions.
  • Fluent in HTML and CSS with full knowledge of associated capabilities/limitations.
  • Use Adobe Photoshop/Fireworks in your sleep

Role Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain SitePen’s brand identity from the web through social networks and marketing collateral
  • Continuously provide stunning visual design for SitePen.com
  • Work with the development team to ensure that your designs are implemented as specified.
  • This role reports to the CCO
