About the job

As the voice of the user in our engineering team, you will craft experiences that allow our guests to shop for coffee and merchandise, learn about brewing coffee at home and share their coffee-drinking experiences with friends and followers. You will build rich experiences that help our teams deliver fresh, beautifully-roasted coffee to our guests.

You will be surrounded by a tight-knit and supportive team of fellow engineers who push hard to constantly learn and leverage the best in technology. Our projects push us to constantly learn, and you may find yourself shaping new features, retouching beautiful photos, implementing UI or A/B testing new ideas.

  • Create beautiful eCommerce, mobile and web interfaces that delight our customers
  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Brainstorm solutions for challenging problems that bridge user and technical concerns

You are

An insatiable learner. You are excited to build expertise on a wide array of technologies and you stay on the edge of industry knowledge, including:

  • Design tools, mockups, prototyping, markup, styling and templates
  • Ruby, rails, git & build systems
  • Performance engineering
  • Public cloud tools & architecture

You have

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced environment
  • An eye for design and experience with image and prototyping tools
  • Technical acumen with demonstrable development skills
  • A deep love for great coffee, food, and a passion for exceptional customer experiences​
