About the role

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team in India. In this role you will be responsible for writing product documentation for our Admins and End Users. You will work on product documentation for JumpCloud, including guides, release notes, and help articles. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our product documentation is accurate and up to date. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for writing and maintaining our product documentation. You will also work with our product and engineering teams to understand the features and functionality of our products. You will also work with our support team to understand the needs of our customers. You will be part of a team of technical writers who are responsible for creating and maintaining our product documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Write and maintain product documentation for JumpCloud Admins and End Users
  • Create guides, release notes, and help articles for our products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Work with product and engineering teams to understand features and functionality
  • Work with support team to understand customer needs
  • Ensure product documentation is clear, concise, and easy to understand
  • Follow documentation style guides and best practices
  • Participate in product testing and provide feedback on product usability
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in technical writing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the software industry
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to explain them in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience with documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional requirements

  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) or IT administration is a plus
  • Experience with SaaS products is a plus
  • Experience with video creation and editing is a plus

Where you will be working

JumpCloud is committed to being Remote First, meaning that you are able to work remotely within your country of residence. All roles at JumpCloud are Remote unless otherwise specified in the Job Description. You must be located in and authorized to work in India to be considered for this position.

Language

JumpCloud has teams in 15+ countries around the world and conducts our internal business in English. The interview process will be conducted in English.
