We are looking for a Technical Writer who will work with our Product, Delivery, QA, and Engineering leaders to synthesize an understanding of our product vision and its ongoing evolution, and communicate it via documentation and presentation for both internal and external audiences. The position will report to the CTO.

Who you are:

This position requires strong organizational, planning, and communication skills, as well as a technical understanding of software-as-a-service (SaaS), and the design and prototyping space. As a member of the Engineering team, you’ll be valued for your technical and subject-matter expertise in the documentation of our products. You will be expected to develop your own understanding of our products, audience, and business objectives.  You’ll need to apply that knowledge to craft documentation, including release notes, API and product specifications, product training documents, and feature catalogs that contribute to our product’s success.

The Technical Writer should be comfortable collaborating with:

  • Product, QA, Engineering
  • Professional 3rd party services
  • Prospects, customers, and partners

You are a tenacious planner who thrives on keeping up with rapidly evolving product lines and customer environments, as well as keeping all partners aligned and informed on progress updates and resulting impacts to their business. You also love to contribute to products that are used and loved by people every day.

What you’ll do:

You will organize the overall structure of various documentation streams that we need to maintain, which includes:

  • Regularly update key elements of the product documentation library (release notes, configuration catalog, product specifications).
  • Consolidating and indexing of intranet documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to document key product elements
  • Produce presentations, blog posts, and training materials
  • Participating in strategic planning for both short and long-term product direction.
  • Commit to continuous improvement of standards, tools, and processes.
  • Transform internal technical publications, such as integration kits and product release notes, into externally-consumable forms and professional publications.

Want to join us?

If this sounds like your ideal next step, you’ll need the ability to break down complex product requirements and technical documentation into tailored and effective messaging for cross-functional and external audiences. You should have a demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts applicable to our product and technical stack, and should have experience writing a variety of technical documentation.

You will need to be organized and comfortable managing multiple tasks and competing priorities efficiently, and will be able to resolve issues collaboratively and with a focus on delivery.  Our culture is highly team-centered, and our teams have a strong sense of ownership, drive, and sense of urgency. You should, too.
