Technical Project Manager, Connected Devices

The Connected Devices team at MLBAM is seeking a Project Manager for an immediate opening. This Project Manager will be responsible for managing the development of high value applications, which are leveraged across MLBAM’s platforms and properties. This individual will be responsible for managing iterations, coordinating development resources, prioritizing and scheduling feature implementation with stakeholders, quality assurance and feature deployment. Candidate must possess the ability to effectively manage each piece of the SDLC for multiple mobile applications across multiple platforms.

You definitely…

• Have 4-6 years of project management experience, managing multiple concurrent initiatives
• Have experience in managing the development of public-facing software
• Are well educated in the intricacies of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Have in-depth knowledge and experience executing both Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies
• Excel in communicating with internal and external business owners and clients
• Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks
• Have experience in managing the development of public-facing, cross-platform, native client applications
• Display initiative, take a proactive approach, and are able to start the conversation
• Are proficient in meeting management; understand how to ensure effectiveness, knows when a meeting is or is not required, documents the outcomes, and follows up with participants having deliverables
• Are a master of industry-standard project management tools such as JIRA
• Are a developed negotiator, and are able to identify a solution path for multiple/various competing requirements / stakeholder preferences
• Work to develop and refine essential Project Management skills
• Work with project stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, and communicate requirements to development teams
• Are passionate about your career, and take strong ownership of the initiatives you manage

It would be nice if you…

• Are well-established, having 5+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives for a major brand
• Have an in-depth understanding of the world of sports, it’s rules, intricacies, and nuances
• Have experience working in a client services environment, engaging with various stakeholders
• Have experience managing apps for mobile or game consoles and/or installed software and are familiar with the intricacies of app submission and approval procedures
• Have product development experience, participate in product development activities, scheduling feature additions in iterative release cycles based on priority and importance
• Are able to work closely with the program manager on maximizing efficiency by helping to drive process and strategy focused on high value delivery
• Are constantly evaluating process and seeking for ways to improve at every iteration
• Are obsessed with managing quality applications, always working to better said products
• Are a Certified ScrumMaster or have PMP certifications
