Overview
The International Music team is working closely with Spotify’s regions in developing local music strategies and operating plans, supporting their execution against local business-relevant metrics, global music priorities and company-wide initiatives to reach Music goals and targets.
The Latam Lead will have a direct impact on the way our Music team in LATAM works with the rest of our global team. The Lead will partner closely with the local Music Leads, Partnerships and Editorial teams across the region, to identify challenges and develop innovative, scalable solutions that can be implemented across LATAM markets, helping tailor strategies fitting local market conditions while supporting global objectives.
Qualified candidates should have significant experience working in the music and/or entertainment media space preferably in LATAM.
The Lead should be strategic, knowledgeable and networked in international strategy and operations.

The role will report directly to our Head of International, Music.
What you’ll do:
- Support and advise the LATAM Music teams
- Act as a trusted advisor to market-based Music teams
- Maintain regular 1:1s with local Music Leads, occasional meetings with managers/editors
- Embed in key local and regional meetings, workstreams, events
- Visit markets regularly to understand day-to-day workflows
- Advise local Music teams on strategy and planning
- Support markets with new market launches and territorial expansions
- Support lead level interviews/recruitment across markets and key teams
- Drive training and onboarding for new lead-level Music Team hires in markets
- Represent the regions in central and global workstreams
- Foster “Music Team” culture, nurture cross-territory learning and collaboration
- Drive collaboration between Music teams in LATAM, and central teams
- Represent the markets in global forums, acting as a first point of contact to represent local and regional interests
- Identify multi-market and regional business challenges and drive solutions
- Autonomously lead large cross functional projects that impact the region
- Drive adoption and localization of global toolkits, programs and campaigns
- Support select international priority artist campaigns and partnership meetings
- Represent international Music in key external partner meetings and business reviews
Who you are:
- You are curious about travel, geography, and culture
- You have an academic degree and significant leadership experience with an established digital music service, record label or artist management company
- You are a strong leader and influencer who is able to foster a healthy team culture
- You are able to build close working relationships with peers and management across broad and complex geographic regions
- You possess a perfect level of written and spoken English.
- You have experience in marketing, strategy and operations, music and technology
- You are a strong communicator with excellent negotiating and people skills
- You possess strong analytical skills, own the ability and drive to continuously source, analyze and interpret data, using it to set performance targets and long-term business goals
- You are well organized, with the ability to plan and deliver
- You have a disciplined approach to managing processes and streamlining workflows
