GitHub’s Talent Acquisition team is growing, and we’re looking to add a Talent Strategist (Sourcer) to our team. This person will help to find, attract, and close future Hubbers. You will partner directly with the Talent Team and Hiring Managers to bring in the right type of talent at the right time to GitHub as we move into our next stage of growth. The role will align most closely with non-engineering orgs but experience and exposure with some engineering recruiting is ideal.

We are looking for someone who possesses strong influencing skills and has a passion for working with and understanding hiring manager needs. Connecting the dots between candidates and positions is essential in this role. Ideal candidates should have a strong network, a toolkit of creative sourcing strategies, a proven track record of sourcing and closing quality candidates and a sincere passion for using metrics to design and improve your workflow.

**This role can be 100% remote but this person will be required to work West Coast hours.**

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing of quality candidates via external recruiting tools, referrals, events, personal networks and good old fashioned search methods
  • Screening sourced applicants, and facilitating next steps in the hiring process
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to establish sourcing strategies for a diverse set of individual roles
  • Proactively managing internal relationships with hiring managers, recruiters, and interview teams to meet needs and give continuous feedback on what is/is not working and make changes as needed
  • Manage relationships with external recruiting tools, vendors, search firms, and other third parties
  • Ensuring consistency in candidate process, in compliance with any EEO/OFCCP guidelines
  • Develops proactive and creative new sourcing strategies, especially around diverse talent pools
  • Advocates for and delivers a fantastic candidate experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of experience sourcing candidates within the computer software industry or similar organization
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers, leaders, and dynamic interviewing teams in a fast paced recruiting environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Experience influencing and driving good types of change in a high growth and fast paced environment
  • Willingness to collaborate when approaching challenges or debate
  • A focus on metric driven results
  • Knowledge or understanding of employment law, AAP, EEO, diversity initiatives and immigration
  • Experience working within an ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • The ability to be responsive within a very fast paced, remote environment
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
