Overview

Splyce is searching for a part-time social media manager to assist with pro team event coverage. This is a part-time position. Applicants will work remotely under the guidance of the existing Community Manager.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in social media management and planning social media content. Applicants must be located in Europe, Asia, Africa or Australia to assist with event coverage for events located outside of North America. We want:

  • A flexible schedule. Weโ€™re looking for assistance with events outside of North America, particularly in Europe and South Korea. You will be on call for different events that our existing Community Managers cannot cover from the Americas.
  • A self starter. While you will work closely with our Community Manager, you will also interact with the Splyce fanbase. Itโ€™s up to you to represent Splyce to that audience on the fly and proudly represent our image.
  • A true team member. Itโ€™s imperative that you are able to communicate what you notice while online to the rest of the staff at Splyce. You have a talented, experienced team ready to offer ideas based on what you are able to communicate back to us. Help us bridge the gap.

Splyce is one of the top esports organizations in the world, with teams currently competing at the professional level inย Counter-Strike: Global Offensive,ย League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. Melee,ย Hearthstone, StarCraft II, Gears of Warย andย Call of Duty. Recent accomplishments include:

Responsibilities

  • Manage the all Splyce social media platforms during an event, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Post live match updates and highlights while covering our pro team events.
  • Communicate with our audience, including responding to incoming posts and questions during event coverage.
  • Deliver content and coverage on schedule.
  • Listen to fan feedback and company resources to improve content and our online presence.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must live in Europe, Asia, Africa or Australia.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge and usage of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Solid base of esports knowledge. You donโ€™t have to be an expert, but you must know enough to facilitate meaningful interactions with the scene.
  • The capacity to work in a team with the rest of the company.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and drive. We want someone who is proactive and creates ways to better Splyce instead of waiting for tasks to be assigned.

Pluses:

  • Previous experience managing social media for another esports team.
  • Post-high school degree.
  • Previous experience creating social media content.
  • Fluency in Spanish as well as English.
  • Previous social media or community management experience.
