Babylist is looking for a part-time Social Media Manager who can help us build a strong digital community that is the best representation of our brand while delivering measurable growth numbers for our registry and e-commerce business.

As our Social Media Manager you’ll get to:

The ideal candidate is curious, driven, results-oriented and has previous experience in end-to-end social content management.

This is a part-time, contract role (20-30 hours) and can be remote within the U.S.

Who You Are

  • You’re excited to take the lead on taking our social media efforts to the next level, and you have experience in successfully leading social media for a consumer brand
  • You live and breathe social media, are obsessed with Millennial/Gen-Z culture and have a love for all things trending
  • You’re a passionate storyteller who can captivate and engage an audience
  • You deeply empathize with expecting parents, have an understanding of their pain points and are passionate about helping solve them
  • You are constantly seeking ways to engage new/untapped audiences and are always up-to-date on what’s happening in social media
  • You’re never satisfied with the status quo and always ask “how can we do this better?”
  • You can juggle multiple projects successfully under tight deadlines
  • You value quality but you’re not paralyzed by perfection; you can launch new, creative ideas/concepts quickly and iterate constantly using data
  • You have a “go viral” mentality and know how to maximize content for sharing and engagement
  • You navigate confidently through changing priorities and directions and can operate successfully with minimal direction
  • You have a “no task too small” attitude and can roll up your sleeves to get the job done when needed

What You’ll Do

  • Working directly with our Director of Content Marketing, you’ll make Babylist the go-to source for expecting parents on social media by increasing our following and creating highly engaging content
  • You’ll define and implement a clear, strategic vision for Babylist’s social media that equally serves our users and business goals
  • You’ll collaborate with our creative team to generate on-brand, engaging and original user-centric content
  • You’ll execute your strategy by publishing all content to our channels and oversee overall engagement and content moderation
  • You’ll leverage internal, competitor, and aspirational brand data and listen to our community to constantly innovate, optimize, and evolve our social content
  • You’ll inform the Babylist team on the impact of social media on our users and our business by providing regular updates to the team

What You’ve Done

  • Minimum of 2-3 years hands-on experience in B2C social media (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) is a MUST
  • Experience in managing an Instagram profile with over 50,000 followers is PREFERRED
  • B2C Social media experience in the expecting parent/parenting space is a BONUS
  • You’ve generated visual/graphic content for social media/web and have basic web design skills (Photoshop or equivalent)
  • You have a proven track record in hands-on, thumb-stopping, user-centric content creation
  • You’ve used data and social analytics to develop and defend your strategic content decisions and experiments
  • You’ve demonstrated exceptional organizational, multitasking and teamwork skills
