We’re looking for someone to join the growth team at Lambda School to engage and support our growing social media presence. In this role you’ll be instrumental in driving conversations and enabling a great experience for students, alumni, hiring partners and the community at large. You will be focused on contributing and executing a robust response strategy across key social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Blogs etc. You will be partnering with various internal teams and external partners to lead Lambda School’s community moderation and community engagement across social. You will help generate the right support content for our social channels and recommend ways to improve the student support numbers further.

You have a strategic mindset but manage tactical executions well. You’re a self-starter and have a solution-oriented approach towards challenges. You are open to experimentation, consider creative solutions, and use data to drive your decisions. You understand that there are always new opportunities for improvement and ways to elevate our standards, and most of all, you support Lambda School’s mission.

What You’ll Do:

  • Help define the community response and moderation strategy for Lambda School social media channels
  • Develop and execute support responses across social channels and DMs
  • Help collaborate and manage external vendors and/or agency-partner
  • Analyze Lambda School’s response performance and recommend ways to improve the numbers further
  • Generate daily/weekly social listening reports
  • Understand community and social channel needs and develop feedback loops to drive program improvements
  • Communicate and collaborate internally and externally to develop support content
  • Maintain a repository of responses for our social channels

What You’ll Need:

  • 3 years of experience in social media strategy, content and/or community management and moderation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable and compelling in public speaking situations (you might be meeting students via Zoom video chat and, to a lesser extent, in person)
  • Good at coordination with internal and external team partners and getting things done
  • Have a fair understanding of core social media metrics and KPIs
  • Competence and empathy in working with diverse groups of individuals
  • Positive energy that you bring to all meetings with students and staff

The position is a full-time, salaried, San Francisco based and/or remote role with medical benefits.
