As an Engagement Editor, you will drive sustainable audience growth on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. This is initially a three-month contract position beginning in January 2017.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement strategies to build social media audiences, focusing primarily on Facebook and Instagram engagement.
  • Identify and build relationships with outside influencers and media partners to drive audience growth.
  • Work with Vox Media’s Editorial and Video teams to conceptualize stories that can be told natively on social platforms.
  • Collaborate with our newsroom on packaging story ideas for social audiences, surfacing hooks for headlines, adapting our content and voice natively to each platform, and conceptualizing new formats for production.
  • Interface with paid media and branded content partners in relation to social platforms.

  • Demonstrated strength in collaborating across functions to achieve a common goal
  • Ideas about the best ways and tools to organize work effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth digital media company preferred.
