We are seeking a UX content specialist to join the Kibana team and help us build an extraordinary UI for the Elastic Stack. Kibana enables people to visualize their Elasticsearch data and monitor and manage the stack.

You understand how an interface, embedded assistance, and external documentation work together to form a great user experience. You have the expertise to help define our UX content strategy and bring that vision to life. You have experience generating diverse content and have a portfolio that demonstrates your excellent writing skills and versatility.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the overall UX content strategy for Kibana.
  • Write and edit UI text, embedded content, and external documentation.
  • Review and edit content generated by team members to ensure clarity and consistency across components.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and product managers to provide a great overall user experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years experience as a technical writer with a focus on UX content development.
  • A clear, concise writing style and the ability to tailor content to specific audiences.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Able to learn new technical concepts quickly.
  • Comfortable shifting between projects and wearing a variety of hats.
  • A track record of successfully working with multi-functional teams to deliver quality content.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Experience using Sketch and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience committing to an open source project.
  • Working knowledge of Git and Github.
