JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a driven and organized Engineer to help deliver digital services for the American people. As an Ad Hoc  Engineer, you will:

• build scalable back-end services that gracefully integrate with legacy systems
• Use unit and integration testing to ensure systems meet business needs
• Ship software that impacts the lives of millions of Americans

REQUIREMENTS

This is a remote position

Our Federal contracts require that you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for employment.

All work must be completed in the U.S.

This position will be open and accepting applications until March 5, 2020

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience developing consumer-facing web applications,
• Programming in a major open source language, such as Ruby, Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of the fundamental technologies of the web: HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON
• Proficient spelling, grammar, and communication skills.
• Must pass background check and provide references.
• As a contractor to the federal government, all hires may be required to complete additional background screenings at the time of hire or any time thereafter as requested.

DESIRED SKILLS

Java 8+; preferrably 11+
Committed to a DevOps culture; we support our code
Interested in learning [more] about DevOps tools
Experience with at least one widely used Java web framework (e.g, Spring, DropWizard, Play)
Experience with at least one widely used Java ORM (e.g., Hibernate, JOOQ, EBean)
