Overview

Passwords and identity are an essential part of every Firefox user’s online life. In 2017 we plan to build and ship a new Firefox product that is focused on password and identity management. This product should be the most intuitive product for generating, managing, and syncing secure passwords for the websites that Firefox users visit.

  • Product leader for new dedicated cross-functional team for building a password manager product for desktop, iOS, and Android.
  • Peer to Firefox Core Browser and Context Graph teams

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Define roadmap and V1.0 MVP for 2017 launch date.
  • Identify and target key user segments for MVP product.
  • Become industry expert in browsers, passwords, and the competitive landscape of password tools.
  • Drive launch plan with Product Marketing, drive a clear value proposition and message on product benefits
  • Work closely with Firefox core browser team on coordinating roadmaps and dependencies.
  • Help recruit and select internal and external candidates for engineering, design, and program managements for the dedicated password manager team.
  • Define KPIs and product dashboards for product health

KPIs:

  • Engagement with audience- registrations and repeat usage (MAU:DAU ratio)
  • Percentage of multi-device users
  • Increased usage of secure passwords for Firefox users
  • Create metric for quantifying the reduced risk for users who use the feature
