About the Chorus team

Chorus is a platform for digital publishers. Informed by the success of Vox Media’s eight networks and internal branded content agency, Chorus is a complete media stack for brand and community building, content creation, audience engagement, distribution, measurement, and monetization. Within the Vox Product team, the Chorus team builds innovative tools that enable our editorial teams to tell compelling stories; designs dynamic, engaging audience experiences that can travel across myriad platforms and devices; and ensures our editorial teams can learn from and continuously adapt within an ever-changing industry. We are dedicated to cross-disciplinary product thinking and vision, prize thoughtful and collaborative work, and are a remote-first organization.

About the role

As a senior product manager, you will be responsible for leading editorial- and audience-facing projects on the Chorus platform. You will gather and synthesize user research with often disparate input from editorial and executive stakeholders into clear, coherent product goals, and you will work with your colleagues in engineering, design, and research to turn those goals into executable plans. You will regularly and plainly communicate the team’s progress, working closely with our community team to keep users informed. This role will require you to be familiar with the evolving ways that audiences find, read, watch, and share quality journalism and entertainment, and the processes and tools that editorial teams use to create compelling stories.

What we expect

You are an experienced product manager with a deep understanding of user-centered design and an interest in digital publishing tools. You are able to communicate with engineers, designers, and other product team staff, and can capably translate between these disciplines in order to ensure everyone is on the same page. You can quickly and confidently make decisions when it’s called for. You have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and can develop healthy relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and fields. You are at ease with remote culture and understand how to support a distributed team. You’re an unfailingly respectful and empathetic teammate who is willing to go the extra mile for others, and you care about helping us create a diverse, inclusive workforce.
