Ads power Reddit’s business. As a Senior Product Designer on the Ads team, you will play a key role in shaping the tools, systems, and experiences that help businesses succeed on Reddit while ensuring ads remain relevant, useful, and respectful to redditors.

About the team

The Ads Design Team is a group of product designers, researchers, and content designers working to build tools and experiences that enable users and advertisers to engage in meaningful interactions on Reddit, making the whole platform more sustainable and valuable for all.

The team is the connective tissue between users and merchants with a focus on providing advertisers with the solutions they need to make an impact on platform revenue, without jeopardizing trust and belief in our product.

Your role

In this role you will work on advertising solutions with the goal of enabling advertisers to run effective campaigns that achieve their marketing objectives with engaging, relevant ads that redditors can trust. You will be fully responsible for delivering great user experience, partnering with product management and engineering to design tailored experiences for advertisers. You will tackle complex design challenges from conception through to delivery and beyond. The work will involve identifying user problems, advocating for best practices, and providing input to improve across product verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and validate end-to-end (B2B) experiences for advertisers and businesses, from strategy and concept through implementation and iteration.
  • Own design from discovery to delivery for your product, balancing short-term and long-term value.
  • Understand the Reddit product portfolio and design differentiated experiences across platforms, such as dashboards, campaign management, and AI-powered tools and experiences.
  • Inform product roadmap strategy, scope, and priorities, assessing the impact of decisions and tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate across teams and product areas to understand user needs and requirements and how design can add value.
  • Demonstrate a wide web of influence to bring cross-functional teams together on designs and design strategy.
  • Draw on your extensive expertise to help assign projects and guide and mentor less experienced team members.

Required qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Product Design or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in UX, UI, and visual design.
  • Comfortable with end-to-end product design: from concept to implementation, and iteration.
  • Deep understanding of the design process, from research and insight gathering to conceptualization, prototyping, and implementing solutions that are user-friendly and visually distinctive.
  • Strong design craft, creativity, and ability to research and incorporate the latest trends in product design, visual design, interaction design, and technology.
  • Expert proficiency with Figma, focusing on design systems, components, tokens, and best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working on design systems or component libraries.
  • Strong sense of ownership and proactive communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment, where priorities can shift.
  • A sense of humor and a great attitude.

Pay transparency

This job posting may span more than one career level.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and may be eligible to receive a bonus.

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges for all US-based job postings.

The base salary range for this position is:

$180,200 – $252,300 USD
