Overview

At Stack Overflow, we are obsessed with serving developers. Whether we’re helping developers get answers to their questionsfind a new job, or discover documentation, we build products that make millions of developers’ lives better every day. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the product design team working on developer-facing products. This means leading design on a wide range of projects. In this role you’ll work with a bright team of developers, product managers, designers, marketing, and community growth experts to understand how we can best delight our developer customers.

We’re looking to hire the best person wherever you are in the world. We work remotely so you can work from home and interact with the team over Google Hangouts and chat, usually during US or European working hours. We have offices in New York, London and Denver, so if you’re in (or want to relocate to) one of those cities you can, and our offices are awesome.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate on a product team to turn strategy into engaging, usable new products and features
  • Research user needs through interviews and usability testing
  • Build testable prototypes, validate ideas, and iterate based on feedback
  • Work with marketing and our community team to plan and clearly communicate the launch of new features and products
  • Help the product design team build, curate, and share the product’s design language

We expect to see:

  • A portfolio showcasing strong UX design, visual design, understanding of branding and design systems, and HTML/CSS skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience shipping and iterating projects on a product team
