Codeship is looking for a senior Dev Evangelist/Technical writer. At Codeship we believe in “building for the builders”. Our tools help thousands of developers build, test and release the best products imaginable each day.

We are looking for a Dev Evangelist/Technical Writer (Senior) with experience speaking at conferences in the software development space and a love for the developer tool space who is eager to share his/her knowledge by helping our users and customers with informative documentation articles, videos, webinars, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of creating technical documentation content according to the needs of Codeship’s customer success team to help reduce demands on our customer success team and to help our users find solutions to their problems quickly and efficiently
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing and Customer Success team to create Sales material that helps our Sales team convey the value that the Codeship products can provide clearly to potential customers
  • Create content in various channels that helps Codeship’s Marketing team create new leads. Some channels include blog posts, webinars, PDFs, eBooks, Landing Pages, and more
  • Speaking at meetups and conferences defined together with the Codeship Marketing and Community team
  • Ideally, helping our customer support team solving customer questions (ZenDesk), recognizing patterns and creating documentation articles around topics that get a lot of questions

Desired profile

  • 3-5 years experience in the software development space
  • You are eager to share learnings and experiences proactively with your team
  • Experience in speaking at conferences and meetups
  • Experience in writing technical content and documentation that gets consumed by software development teams
  • Experience working with developer tools and interest in developer processes and developer experience
  • Experience and willingness to learn different tech stacks (AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, Jenkins, Microservices, Docker, Container technology, …)
  • You are passionate, team oriented, a creative problem solver, proactive, with a desire to work autonomously, execute and see results
  • You like talking to customers, learning from their feedback, sharing your learnings and implementing this feedback in your work.

You will be reporting to Codeship’s Director of Marketing Manuel Weiss.

We started in early 2011 with the vision of bringing continuous deployment to every software team. The founding team is originally from Vienna, Austria and moved to Boston in early 2013 to take part in the Techstars Accelerator Program.
