Job summary

The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Senior Consultant to join us in Bentonville, AR. In this role, you will be responsible for the on site delivery and implementation of our solutions and offerings. You’ll gain an understanding of our customers’ infrastructure and business challenges and make recommendations fitting for their environment that create possibilities and solve problems for our customers. This role is ideal for a platform consultant who wants to grow their knowledge and work in a fast-paced environment promoting Red Hat solutions.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Routinely assess, design, and implement Red Hat’s core offerings including Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, high performance computing, and grid computing
  • Be the subject matter expert at the client site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
  • Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
  • Adapt to changing customer requirements
  • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

Required skills

  • Experience with enterprise-wide solutions deployments
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Linux kernel, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds
  • Background in system management, clustering and storage management, virtualization, and directory server
  • Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics of key projects to stakeholders and diverse audiences
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer management skills
  • Current Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or ability to get certified after you start working with us
