As a leader in the Quality Assurance team at Mozilla you will work alongside product engineering to understand and reduce risk in order to ship products with real benefit for our users. The Quality Assurance team is part of the Product Integrity group, which provides operational support for both tactical day-to-day activities and longer term process and automation improvements. The Product Integrity group uses data to guide effective engineering operations and manage product risk.

As a Technical Lead, Quality Assurance at Mozilla, you will:

  • ​Develop and standardize methodologies for Test Plans, Release Criteria, Automation and Testing
  • Engage with product engineering prior to development starting to assess testing needs
  • Break down and assign testing tasks
  • Communicate assessments of feature and product readiness
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Test Mozilla’s products
  • Mentor quality assurance engineers

Your Professional Profile:

  • Quality assurance background beyond manual/exploratory testing
  • Direct or indirect leadership of small teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to automate test steps and repetitive manual tests
  • Ability to reason about data from many sources and understand risk
  • Ability to balance risks and timely product needs
