About Prelim

Prelim is a fully remote company building digital account opening software for banks and credit unions. Our platform helps financial institutions open accounts faster and more efficiently, with tools for applications, document collection, verification, and compliance. We work with banks and credit unions across the United States, and our team is fully remote.

About the role

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our team and help shape the future of digital banking. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, beautiful experiences for banks, credit unions, and their customers. This is a fully remote role, and you will have the opportunity to own design across key parts of our platform.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end design for core account opening experiences, from discovery to delivery.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to define problems and ship high-quality solutions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that communicate ideas clearly.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate designs and uncover opportunities.
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system for consistency and scale.
  • Help improve how banks and credit unions onboard customers and manage applications.

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years of product design experience, ideally in fintech or SaaS.
  • A strong portfolio showing end-to-end design work and impact.
  • Deep skills in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
  • Experience with design systems and designing complex workflows.
  • Strong collaboration skills and clear communication with cross-functional partners.
  • A user-centered mindset and a passion for improving financial services.

Additional information
