GitHub Marketplace is how we offer tools for teams to extend their development workflows. The Marketing Program Manager for Marketplace will build and execute campaigns to increase brand awareness, generate demand, and drive adoption of GitHub apps.

This role is based in the US, including San Francisco HQ.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and measure marketing programs that drive customer interest and demand for Marketplace apps
  • Collaborates cross functionally with product/engineering, product marketing, marketing operations, and sales teams to develop campaign narratives, messaging, and tactics
  • Develops, maintains, and manages program schedules
  • Builds content for campaigns
  • Analyzes campaign impact and effectiveness to optimize campaigns
  • Tests new marketing initiatives to improve outcomes
  • Monitors conversions and implements action plans to address gaps
  • Recognizes data trends and recommends best practices based on successful campaigns

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with revenue-generating marketing programs required
  • Experience marketing to developers and developer ecosystems
  • Understanding of market segmentation, brand management, marketing communications, and database marketing
  • Attention to detail and strong program management skills to juggle multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to execute successful projects with minimal guidance in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
  • Strong verbal and written communicator
  • Eager to roll up your sleeves and get it done!
