Founded in 2016, Loom has raised $45 million from top-tier investors including Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins, the Slack Fund, and the founders of Instagram, Figma, and Front.

The Role:

As Loom’s Managing Editor, you’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating all of the end-to-end logistics of a robust editorial calendar. You’ll work with a growing team of freelancers and in-house contributors to build a foundation of content that helps establish Loom as a thought leader in effective communication.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and editor who especially enjoys amplifying the creative work of others. You’re an expert in identifying topics of interest that speak directly to target audiences. You’ll also have superhuman organizational skills — you’re comfortable with project management practices and you never drop the ball.

Loom is growing rapidly, and you’ll be playing a crucial role in executing a content strategy that helps people improve the way they communicate at work. Reporting to our Content Marketing Lead, Emily Triplett Lentz, you’ll partner with our marketing, brand design, product, and sales and success teams to attract and convert customers through all stages of the funnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an editorial calendar that includes multiple content types (articles, videos, webinars, case studies, infographics, ebooks, etc.) across multiple channels (the Loom blog, social media, email newsletters, offsite publications, YouTube, etc.) throughout the funnel (from awareness through expansion)
  • Own the distribution, optimization, and maintenance of content, ensuring everything we share meets our high quality bar, serves our specific goals, and creates exceptional value for our audience
  • Work with the Content Marketing Lead to plan Loom’s editorial direction, including topics to cover, new channels to explore, keywords to target and so on
  • Partner cross-functionally to execute content campaigns in support of other initiatives (e.g., product launches, company news, employer brand)
  • Use software such as Asana, Webflow, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Notion, Mode, and other tools necessary for planning, publishing, and analyzing high-performing content.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in communications, journalism, or editorial roles
  • 1+ years of direct experience in content roles, ideally in SaaS — experience with video content is a plus
  • A proven record of creating content that had a measurable impact
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and SaaS business metrics to connect content initiatives to company goals
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a startup environment and work cross-functionally
