About this role:
We are building a team of design practitioners with extensive experience with both the design process and popular design tools to support our sales and customer success teams as a Design Specialists. This team will elevate our design conversations and speak peer-to-peer with our customers about the importance of the tools they choose and how to get the most value from the InVision platform.
This team has two primary objectives: 1) accelerating the growth of new customers to InVision and 2) increasing adoption of our full connected workflow platform with primary focus on our new products Studio and Design System Manager.
We are looking for a leader for this team who can help build this function, establish strong cross-functional partnerships with the leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Design Education and more. The ideal person for this role will have experience building high performing customer facing teams, creating and scaling new programs, implementing systems to measure and track performance. Relevant prior experience may include leading a pre-sales solutions or sales overlay team, product management or product marketing. Candidates should also would be knowledgeable about digital product development and challenges teams face in building great products at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, motivate and lead a team of high performing Design Specialists
- Manage and foster the career development and growth of all direct reports.
- Provide active coaching and feedback to your team around account planning & strategy, customer interactions, and performance metrics
- Develop new hire onboarding, in-role training, and career paths for the team
- Build strong partnerships with leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Design, and Design Education among others.
- Leverage data to identify areas of opportunity and focus.
- Understand InVisionโs unique market position in order to consistently articulate the value of our solution, and teach others to do so as well.
About you:
- Youโve led high performing customer facing teams for at least 4 years
- You have strong cross functional leadership skills and ability to influence without direct authority
- Youโre a program builder. You have a track record of creating scalable playbooks, structure, and process where none existed.
- Self-starter. Youโre very comfortable with ambiguity and change and can operate independently.
- Strong analytical skills and results focus.
- Passionate about helping companies build better products through design and knowledgeable about the challenges they face
- Bias towards immediate action and results
