Overview

Are you fluent in Traditional Chinese and have intimate familiarity with current Chinese culture in Hong Kong and Taiwan? Great, as you’ll be supporting operations for our Chinese communities in those two locales. We are looking for a self-motivated, positive, and detail-oriented Traditional-Chinese speaker to join our International User Operations team. Can you get to the bottom of issues quickly and thoroughly, can you understand and communicate policies and procedures effectively? Then this might just be the role for you!

This is a part-time position (10-19 hours/week) that requires two weeks of training at our San Francisco office in SOMA, after which the job can be performed in remote. Can you provide quality translations, deliver a final product free of typos, and meet deadlines? Then this gig might be just right for you!

You will be

  • Translating from English to Traditional Chinese and from Traditional Chinese to English
  • Providing email-based customer support in Traditional Chinese
  • Reviewing reported content and evaluating it against our content guidelines
  • Administering site data such as business page information and accounts
  • Investigating site quality issues

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (required)
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience
  • Native-level fluency in Traditional Chinese and fluent in English
  • Self-direction and focus
  • You can unravel situations and enjoy intellectual challenges.
  • Direct and clear communication style. Writing well is a no-brainer for you.
  • An understanding of how websites and large data systems work
  • Tech savviness, particularly with strong web browsing & computer skills. Thinking outside the search box is second nature to you, and you learn software quickly.
  • Previous experience with salesforce or other CRMs is a plus
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Great teammate with ability to adapt and accept feedback in evolving environments
