Our Sales organization serves as a focal point for our customers to achieve success with Chef. As a Area Sales Representative you will be responsible for developing high-trust relationships with your clients, measured through revenue growth and acquiring new logo customers. This is a strategic role working with our key prospects and Chef’s internal teams and has central importance to our ongoing success as a company.

Responsibilities include:

  • History of exceeding revenue and renewal targets and drive to continue overachievement of goals, metrics and attainment.
  • Quota responsibility for contract value and new logo’s
  • Initiate outbound calls to potential customers.
  • Manage high volume of inbound lead traffic with responsiveness
  • Ability to challenge customers when necessary to help our customers meet their stated goals.
  • Establish and maintain working knowledge of Chef and all resources
  • Develop advanced account strategies that drive success through delivering value and insights that are relevant and unique to each customer account.
  • Managing the full life cycle of specific accounts combined with a geographical territory
  • Motivate and mobilize customers, cross functional partners, and team members through diplomatic collaboration and clear communication to drive towards common outcomes and goals.
  • Provide information about Chef, gain information about a prospect’s interest in Chef and determine qualification.
  • Accurately record activity in Salesforce.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing management in support of lead generation campaigns.
  • Know how to get things done through formal channels and informal networks and work in a start-up environment.
  • Uncover opportunity through analysis, inquisitiveness and a deep understanding of your customer’s business including initiatives and drivers and aligning those to solutions.

Qualifications for a great fit:

  • 2-4 years of sales or account management experience
  • A successful track record of hunting and closing new business
  • Experienced in consultative, value-based selling
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & presentation)
  • A passion for and a commitment to customer success and results
  • Awesome teamwork and collaborative within team and across Chef
  • Demonstrated experience and proven success in software sales
  • Organizational skills
  • Adept with highly technical solution and client base
