Museum Hack is a multi-million dollar business that is growing quickly. We employ 50+ scientists, nerds, museum employees, salesmen, zookeepers, copywriters, and actors. Our product is based around renegade museum tours. They regularly get 5-star reviews in NYC, Chicago, SF, DC, and LA.

We’re looking for an ambitious seller with 3-5 years selling and sales team management experience to become our Inbound Sales Manager. You’ll be a major part of helping Museum Hack grow with our innovative corporate clients. Companies like Google, Lego, LinkedIn, and Citi Bank regularly hire us for their company offsites.

The Inbound Sales Manager will learn our product and sell to corporate and private clients and coach our fully-remote team of Client Advisors. You and your team will be responsible for all of our many, many inbound sales. After you gain expertise and product knowledge, you’ll help us us think about new offerings, develop ways to make our happiest customers even happier with repeat experiences, and cultivate referrals and new customers.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE PREFERED

  • Managing multiple sales people. Including quarterly reviews, performance evaluations, hiring, firing.
  • Analyzing trends and results to project expected sales volume and profit.
  • Reviewing sales processes for improvement.
  • 3-5 years in sales roles. You were cold calling or taking leads, then directly responsible for closing deals.
  • Track record of success. History of growing revenue from your sales experience.
  • Management and detailed oversight with CRM to track sales team activity. We use Base CRM.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Focus on B2B or enterprise sales. Retail sales managers need not apply.
  • Passion or excitement to become an energetic sales manager.
  • A strong reputation with your clients.
  • Proficiency with technology. We use Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, Slack, and many other web-based tools.
  • Ability to work remotely, and some successful history doing so. This is not a good position for someone who has never worked from home for long periods of time.
  • Strong communication skills. Everyone says that, but here’s what we mean: You’re charismatic on the phone. You’ve got great attention to detail when you write emails. Your follow-up skills are excellent.
  • You’re potentially inspired by arts, culture, and the institutions that let us experience them.
  • You want to help Museum Hack become the most successful cultural experience and team building company in the world.
  • This position is primarily remote. You will need reliable and consistent access to internet and a personal computer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Sales (70%)

Client Advisor:

  • Strong Museum Hack product knowledge and passion for reimagining the museum experience for adults!
  • Communicate passionately with prospective corporate and private clients via calls and emails, determine their needs, and communicate how one of our tour product meet those!
  • Put together proposals for clients and follow up as necessary
  • Manage your pipeline with our CRM  and meet monthly sales goals
  • Communicate with scheduling and VIP departments within Museum Hack as needed to close your deals and ensure solid execution (Example: Date checks for large groups in satellite cities, invoice requests, ect). We’re a Team of Ninja’s and all work very closely together

Sales Management (30%)

You are responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales team, ensuring all projects are on track and that the teams are supported and productive.

  • Leadership within Sales Team. As Sales Manager you will be responsible to:
    • Create a strong and positive sales culture! Teamwork, empathy, and customer service are important to us
    • Cheerlead and support your sales team! Ensure they are feeling motivated to do the best they can and have all the tools they need to do that, too
    • Run regular Team meetings and 1-on-1’s with individual sales team members
    • Work with Scheduling and Guide Manager to overcome and eliminate barriers for inbound sales team closing deals
    • Measure sales KPIs (Example: Monthly Sales Goals + Close Rates) and coach our existing inbound sales team on best practices to ensure team is successful
    • Perform quarterly performance reviews
    • Regularly review customer calls and emails to ensure standards are being met
  • Sales Leadership within Museum Hack
    • This position will be a member of The League of Extraordinary Managers, a circle of managers representing the major departments within Museum Hack! The “League” works together to ensure all Museum Hack departments are working together as one strong Museum Hack unit.
    • Sales Manager will also work with Senior Leadership on annual department sales goals for corporate and private sales (as well as by city).
    • Help identify opportunities to develop new offerings and ways to make our happiest customers even happier with repeat experiences, and cultivate referrals and new clients
    • Other projects as assigned

ABOUT YOU

You’re a creative and ambitious person with experience in sales, management, and doing what it takes to build a company. You have real B2B or enterprise sales experience.

You live in the United States (with proper work authorization) and you’re readily available during East Coast working hours. You have a home office and have proven, successful experience working remotely. This is not a position for digital nomads.

Important: You must have prior management experience in sales, with direct reports whom you had hire / fire responsibility and gave coaching and reviews to.
