Overview
Mozilla is looking to fill a Global HRIS Manager position to work with the Mozilla HR team and responsible for being the gatekeeper of HR information and running data and reports. This position will strive towards ensuring data privacy is in compliance with legal and Mozilla company policy. The Global HRIS Manager is also responsible for HR systems configuration and developing standardized reports. This includes defining data definitions that support HR and financial processes as well as ad-hoc reporting to HR and the business leaders. The Global HRIS Manager will report directly to the Global HR Operations Director.
You are a seasoned HRIS manager who has worked in the HR space for over a decade. As a seasoned professional, you exhibit a very high level of ownership and assume accountability for leading and delivering reports and analytics for the HR organization. An ideal person has a strong background in HR business processes, technology and operations projects. You’ve managed and designed the HRIS framework and processes. You break through communication issues and effectively develop relationships and trust with business partners at all levels of Mozilla. You are not afraid to be tough, but you strive to act with compassion and integrity. Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, build, test, implement, maintain and improve all HR systems with help from a small team of HRIS and data entry professionals
- Serve as the HR systems SME and support HR process improvements, problem solve technical issues, and answers general system questions
- Partner with implementation vendors, EE Experience, HRBPs, Finance and IT to develop data interfaces and systems integration
- Ensure alignment between our projects and Mozilla’s vision, mission, and top line goals
- Act as a gatekeeper for all data going into and out of Workday to ensure data integrity
- Support the integration and maintenance of systems into HRIS
- Support and maintain accuracy of data in 3rd party reporting tools
- Develop standardized reporting and reporting templates for HR processes
- Develop standardized data definitions across functional areas e.g. controllers, LOBs and HR
- Extract information from HRIS to prepare customized and ad hoc reports to support HR management and business leaders.
- Responsible for testing reports or HRIS technical improvements for new and existing programs
- Coordinate testing of reports owned by various functional users
- Develop an audit control process with key stakeholders (HRIS, Recruiting, Employee Experience, Compensation, Benefits & Payroll)
- Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of data security to ensure the confidentiality of employee data and secure processes for transmitting data externally and internally
- Be a liaison with technology departments on projects requiring IT support
- Lead various projects within the HRIS team (for example workday enhancement, data warehouse project, management reporting, etc.)
- Work on streamlining common reporting needs and encouraging self service reporting for more routine reporting needs
- Work with functional users to create functional requirements for all reporting requests (self service, workday reports, etc.)
- Build processes to automate HR data reporting and management reporting tools
- Coordinate with HRBP’s and Employee Experience to ensure appropriate accountability for data process flows in each HR area, produce reporting templates based on BBH standardization, and define reporting requirements for their specific area of focus
- Lead and direct the activities of the HRIS team
- Provide guidance and leadership to develop team’s professional capabilities
- Provide constructive feedback to team members to enable them to achieve success
- Manage the performance management process for direct reports
- Communicate key priorities and monitor their progress
- Provide developmental opportunities within the HRIS team based on career pathing goals and strengths
Education and Experience:
- 8+ years of project management experience in an HR/Operations/Technology environment
- Strong understanding of HR processes and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff, while remaining self-driven and motivated
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously
- Experience in compensation, benefits, or other HR areas a plus
- Demonstrate strong analytical, project management and administrative skills
- Strong communication, relationship building, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaborate in a team environment
- Results and detail oriented
- Ability to handle highly sensitive data with integrity
- Knowledge and experience using Project Portfolio Management tools
- Experience working with a geographically-dispersed workforce through the use of video conferencing and Internet chat communications tools.
