We’re looking for smart, curious full-stack engineers to join our video team.

We’re looking for teammates to help build the custom video platform which allows our brands to upload videos and syndicate them all over the internet, and also build our user-facing features that power our high-impact in-house advertising and consumer-facing video player.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Develop, maintain, and support Volume, our in-house video publishing platform
  • Support video integration on Hymnal, our in-house advertising authoring and publishing platform
  • Interface with third-party APIs to interact with video distribution platforms such as Facebook and YouTube and ad-serving platforms such as DFP
  • Develop and extend the ways in which we monetize video on our publishing platforms across the internet
  • Help us develop online video platform independence

Hopefully you are a human who is friendly, thoughtful, loves to solve problems on a team, and have:

  • Experience working with, and passion for, online video platforms and distribution
  • An engineer’s understanding of the full web delivery stack, including database, server-side and front-end code
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or a similar server-side template-based framework
  • Experience coding HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • A commitment to user-centered design, web standards, front-end performance, usability, and accessibility
