Overview
Bustle.com is a new force in media: a news, entertainment, lifestyle, and fashion site for young women driven by a diverse and energetic collection of contributors.
What we have in common with each other and our readers is that we’re insatiably curious about the world. We care about what’s working and what isn’t, about fashion, politics, technology, diversity, books, celebrities, health, beauty, work, friendship, and how to make amazing food on a budget. These are the stories we deliver every day in a format that’s always getting better, quicker, and more engaging.
Elite Daily is seeking remote, part-time writers to cover news, service, experiments, first-person essays, and reported pieces for our forthcoming Fashion & Beauty vertical. Candidates must have availability to work 2-4 full days per week during business hours.
Elite Dailyโs readers are curious about style and experimental with beauty, so interested applicants should be, too. Weโre looking for writers who are willing to test out the latest, greatest (and sometimes totally absurd) products, who can speak to women positively while peppering in puns and zeitgeist-y references, and who have their fingers on the most-talked-about fashion and beauty stories of the day. Bonus points if you wake up eager to see what Gigi Hadid posted on her Instagram last night, and if you already own the next โItโ item of the season.
Candidates should have ready-to-share writing clips (personal blogs count!), experience working in a fast-paced environment, a wealth of fashion and beauty contacts, and a love of all things style and makeup. In your cover letter, please tell us your stance on Instagram Brows, as well as your favorite sources for beauty and fashion news. Weโre especially looking for writers who approach fashion and beauty from a unique, diverse, and inclusive point of view.
Please note: This is not a freelance position; it is a staff role.
