The nonprofit Mozilla Foundation is passionate about the Internet remaining a global public resource that is open and accessible to all. Our work is guided by the Mozilla Manifesto.

The direct work of the Mozilla Foundation focuses on fueling the movement for an open Internet. We do this by connecting open Internet leaders with each other and by mobilizing grassroots activists around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • You will support the Executive Director (ED) on engagement and special projects involving Mozilla Foundation Board members, advisory Board members and members of Mozilla’s champions network.
  • You will develop a program to support the ED on external relationship building, public speaking and influencer engagement, e.g. developing messages for these audiences, organizing dinners and small thought leadership events.
  • You will support the development and pass off of projects flowing from ED, Board and senior partners into execution teams within Mozilla Foundation and the Mozilla Network. Specifically, you’ll be responsible for making sure projects are well defined and well owned.
  • You will meet with and triage contacts that are looking to work with the ED.
  • You will coordinate projects and make things move: follow up on decisions and issues from meetings.
  • You will represent the ED and organization through participation in partner meetings and relationship building / maintenance where necessary.

Skills & Experience:

  • Supporting a senior executive on strategic projects and external engagement, as well as an ability to deal directly with senior partners.
  • Managing and/or supporting executive / Board relations.
  • Developing press and influencer engagement and messaging plans for senior government officials, non profit or for profit executive.
  • Strong diplomacy, writing and planning skills.
  • Developing project plans and passing off to implementation teams.
  • Ability to broker complex relationships and bring people to the table on projects
