Overview

Media Temple does not sell on price or offer commoditized solutions like other hosts, so comfort and confidence selling superior service and value against lower-priced competitors is a must. Strong organization and communication skills are a must as you will be responsible for managing a pipeline and network of 100+ accounts and opportunities at any given time, some of which may close quickly while others take weeks or months to find resolution. This role keys in on building in-person relationships with creative professionals and media organizations. To be successful requires an aptitude for networking, building rapport, and cross-selling throughout departments in large organizations. You will be assigned a portfolio of existing accounts to grow as well as be counted on to establish your own accounts in the Los Angeles area.

This role reports to the VP of Enterprise Sales but requires collaboration with other Enterprise Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, and Sales Engineers. This position is based in Culver City, California although you will work remotely from your region with  approximately 3-4 days each week will be spent in the field. Experience in media, entertainment, and agency relations a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local accounts including mass-media, television, film, and movie studios, creative agencies, and marketing and advertising firms in your defined area.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision makers, influencers and partners within identified target list.
  • Develop and execute target account plans to achieve and exceed individual hosting quota responsibility.
  • Lead multiple customer sales cycles and close effectively by utilizing a solutions approach (i.e., candidate is a hunter not a sales order taker)
  • Consistently build and deliver an accurate pipeline via Salesforce.
  • Work with Business Development team to convert qualified leads into opportunities for new business.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of successfully selling new solutions (i.e., hosting, software, big data, etc.) and increasing revenue through new customer acquisition.
  • 4+ years of agency relations and sales experience.
  • Ability to operate in a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment and do not require overhead support.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
