About The Flatiron School

Flatiron School runs technical training programs on our New York City and online campuses, designed to give great people the skills they need to build great things.

Our core programs are focused on Web Development and iOS, but we've also done everything from corporate training to teaching high school kids. We've partnered with NYC to provide free training to underrepresented groups in the tech community via the NYC Web Development Fellowship, with Google to train teachers for their own programs, with Kickstarter to onboard apprentices to their dev team, and many more.

We bring together incredible people with backgrounds ranging from investment bankers and spinal surgeons to Major League Baseball players, cartoonists and sky-diving instructors, who are passionate about technology, and we believe that community and communication are core to learning. Our graduates are now working at startups like Kickstarter, Etsy and Venmo, larger companies like NASA, Intel, Microsoft and The New York Times.

We’ve been teaching since 2012, and now we’re developing software and programs to bring our successful curriculum to more students. We are more than just a school — we are a team of mission-driven individuals trying to align education with reality.
