We Are The Curriculum Development Team

We are a team of passionate educational content design professionals dedicated to creating technology-based EL products for students in grades K-12 that will help English Language Learners reach English Language proficiency.

We are looking to fill a Education Content Specialist position. This Specialist will have the direct focus on the development of our ELL curriculum,  use their extensive knowledge in K-12 grade level EL instruction and curriculum design to assist in creating curriculum for second language learners.

Ideal candidates will either reside near Lexia Learning’s Concord, MA office headquarters, within southern California or remotely within North America.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Participate in the development of online, student-facing activities for a blended learning EL program within the primary and secondary (K – 12th) grade levels.
  • Manage fast-paced projects and meet deadlines.
  • Utilize writing and editing skills to ensure highest-quality results.
  • Design activities for delivering educational, English Language Development content.
  • Participate in full-cycle product design and development, including post-release field research.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, contribute actively in brainstorming and planning meetings to create structure for delivering content.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to activity design (e.g., wireframes, wordlists)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education-related field minimum
  • Master’s degree with specialty in Education, Applied Linguistics, Educational Technology, or similar highly preferred
  • 4+ years of experience as an Educator/Teacher in K-12 required
  • Curriculum development/creation experience with knowledge of ELD field best practices
  • Experience working with English Language Learners in Grades K-12 required.
  • Familiarity and understanding of state and national ELD and ELA standards required
  • Experience with presenting educational content  and using technology within the classroom
  • Strong attention to detail, a creative approach to problem-solving, strong organizational and communication skills required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
