The Binance Design team works at the intersection of people and technology to shape and choreograph an exceptional customer experience through next generation financial products. We are searching for a Product Design Director that can work with our Sr. Director, Design to help scale and upskill our team by coaching, leading and demonstrating hands-on, how to design industry leading digital products at pace.  The ideal candidate will be a seasoned product design leader who can balance business goals and performance while delivering best-in-class product experiences for our customers. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, and collaborative environment is critical. This person must be comfortable guiding teams, freelancers, agencies, and production partners while collaborating with product and engineering teams, and should be willing to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on when needed to demonstrate what exceptional looks and feels like.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Product and Design leaders to set the vision and direction of key product lines
  • Understand end-to-end and holistic customer experience: web, e-commerce, social, advertising, digital experiences in crypto trading and research balancing a vision to bring consistency while understanding best-in-class for each channel as well
  • Coach and mentor the US design team, and influence key product and business stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Development, engineering, etc.) to develop industry leading financial products that differentiate us from the competition
  • Bring a keen systematic and visual eye to the US product experience and build quality and consistency across our rapidly expanding product lines and feature-sets
  • Bring comfort and expertise in technical environments, with deep knowledge of mobile client-side development process
  • Be a brand thinker; be passionate about bridging the gap between brand and product, ensuring a more connected, cohesive and immersive US digital ecosystem
  • Establish and maintain processes to help the design and product teams to rapidly build and ship best-in-class user experiences
  • Attract, coach, mentor and grow a world-class team of product designers, researchers and strategists
  • Collaborate to build and  elevate the US design direction and strategy
  • Develop deep partnerships with cross-functional partners to deliver customer outcomes that drive measurable business value through rapid, iterative, data driven, user centered methodologies

What You’ll Need

  • A portfolio that clearly sets you apart from the rest
  • 10+ years of product design experience
  • 6+ years of experience managing and building multi-disciplinary design teams
  • Demonstrable experience designing and building differentiated product experiences
  • Ability to quickly gain a high level understanding, and be able to deep dive in to low level details
  • A comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end design lifecycle, tools, methodologies and technologies
  • Proven track record of being an influential design leader and delivering impactful, strategic work
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional leadership to build and implement strategic product roadmaps
  • Ability to accelerate team efficiency by improving processes and workflows
  • Experience with product development processes and an understanding of how to solve product challenges across platforms
  • Clear point of view on design direction and an openness to new ideas
  • Understanding of how to leverage creativity to meet business goals
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing and brand marketing strategies
  • Passion for recruiting, motivating, and coaching a team of multidisciplinary designers
  • Composure in the face of ambiguity and an ability to effectively work with multiple leadership styles
  • An action bias and intense desire to solve problems
