The target locations for this position are our Mountain View, San Francisco, Berlin or London offices or remote in those countries.

We’re seeking an experienced engineer with background in distributed systems and cloud platforms to define and deliver an open source solution for Mozilla’s “Web of Things” implementation with a focus on the cloud integration pattern.

Our Advanced Development group is tasked with exploring new project areas with limited technological risks which have the potential of becoming end-user products. The great candidate for this position has an expertise in addressing all aspects of a desired solution from architecture to security, scalability and networking. You would have a chance to work with a team of motivated and energetic engineers, designers and product managers to come up with state of the art and innovative solutions in some of the cutting edge areas of Internet of Things.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS/Ph.D. In Computer Science or a related field
  • Expertise in web technologies
  • Strong JS, Python, C/C++
  • Expertise in distributed systems and cluster management
  • Experience with open source systems
  • Experience with cloud architecture, security, APIs and orchestration Understanding of data security and privacy concerns
