Splyce is one of the top esports organizations in the world, with teams currently competing at the professional level in Counter-Strike: Global OffensiveLeague of Legends, Super Smash Bros. MeleeWorld of WarcraftHearthstone, Overwatch, Starcraft II, Gears of WarCall of DutyStreet Fighter V and Halo.

Our mission is to be the elite esports team in the world. With players currently competing in North America, Latin America, Europe and South Korea, Splyce aims to bring an incredible fan experience to every follower, worldwide.

We consistently aim to provide the best the best infrastructure we can for our players. With that in mind, we’re looking for a Head Coach for our Call Of Duty team to work directly with our Console Manager to reach the maximum success with our roster.

If you have a background in leadership, coaching or traditional sports and understand the complexity of team dynamics, we would love to hear from you. An understanding of the Call Of Duty meta is important but not a necessity, but a strong sense of leadership is paramount for this position. If you have a passion for esports, you can help us reach our championship winning caliber.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on the skill set of the applicant(s), the responsibilities may vary. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as necessary.

  • Develop a strong and consistent structure to the entire CODdivision
  • Provide mental coaching for players and staff
  • Create a strategy to prepare players prior to games in downtime at tournaments
  • Help prepare the team mentally prior and after matches at tournaments
  • Take developed reports from team analyst and apply to the team
  • Create a daily schedule that players adhere to, which creates an environment for success
  • Grow the players on the team into men who will lead our team to success
  • Work closely with the team’s manager to develop new training methods and/or provide data needed to increase the team’s performance
  • Keep track of performance results such during scrims and competitive matches and report them to the team management as needed
  • Lead by example and be a role model for the standards and behaviours consistent with Splyce’s core values and culture
  • Address performance issues quickly and respectfully by coaching and mediating any possible conflicts
  • Successfully and consistently communicate team wins, priorities, best practices and operational changes to deliver brilliant execution.
  • Consistently aiming to improve your own knowledge of the meta and trends among other teams

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in English
  • Previous experience coaching in traditional sports, esports or comparable positions
  • Experience in mental coaching
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • A higher motivation to learn and better your personal knowledge of the game
  • Proactive thinker. You are not waiting for tasks to be handed to you but are constantly in search of accomplishing tasks that would level up the team
  • Knowledge of basic office software (Word, Excel, Google Apps)
  • High attention to detail is an absolute must
  • Ability to travel with the team on request
  • Ability to deal with a variety of complex personalities and keep players accountable

PLUSES:

  • You were previously a professional player in Call Of Duty, other esports or traditional sports
  • Professional experience in sports or esports as any position
  • Education in sports management or coaching
  • Fluency in other languages
  • Qualification in Sports Psychology
