Digital marketing is no longer an optional trend. Increasingly companies accomplish their marketing goals through digital channels including email, social media, and SEO. Today’s businesses are made and broken depending on the success of their digital marketing. At Microsoft, we are looking for a highly entrepreneurial, scrappy, strategic, and creative problem-solver to join us in empowering our ecosystem of over 300,000 partners globally to succeed on their digital transformation journeys, specifically as it applies to their digital marketing approaches.

This open role focuses on one of the key marketing engines we use to engage with thousands of partners who rely on us for highly relevant, highly curated, and customizable Microsoft marketing content and services each week. Many of these partners are not directly account managed by Microsoft, and count on intuitive web experiences to both understand the benefits the Microsoft provides and to execute on those benefits to build and grow their businesses.   This role incorporates business strategy, communications strategy, digital marketing and execution. You will use business acumen and a strong partner focus to balance the needs of partners and Microsoft.

The successful candidate will be expected to think and act both strategically and tactically. We are looking for someone who can develop an understanding of what content matters when for our partner audience.

Key Responsibilities include 5+ years in the following:

  • Managing the execution and growth of an engine that empowers not only Microsoft’s global ecosystem of partners, but also channel partners and resellers who transact through global distributors.
  • Liaise with our global field counterparts to effectively evangelize and optimize the engine to ensure partner uptake and usage
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Microsoft’s business groups, as well as our external suppliers, to create and aggregate best-in-class content to disseminate to partners in accordance with a KPI and data-driven content strategy that you will curate, design, own, and improve based on quantitative and qualitative reporting.
  • Define and execute the “vNext” strategy of the engine in order to continue to optimize the existing KPIs the engine tracks (partner engagement, customer engagement, qualified leads) while also quantifying the engine’s partner revenue growth contribution.
  • Empower and effectively lead a team of project management vendors supporting the engine.
  • Engage with senior leaders across our partner and global distributor organizations around the world to evangelize the platform.

Basic Qualifications:

  • College graduate
  • Experience in building and running marketing platforms and content for business audience.
  • Marketing Communications- experience in either marketing communications or campaign/content development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA a bonus with experience in marketing, business, entrepreneurship, international business. Experience working in channel business is preferred.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Strong operational discipline and project management skills.
  • Cross-group collaboration excellence to drive a virtual team (both corporate and field) collaborating across a broad set of stakeholders in a manner that holds individuals accountable.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity with a strong bias toward action and tangible results.
