Overview

We are hiring an Associate Manager, Influencer Marketing to build and scale a network of culturally relevant creator partnerships. This role will help Instacart remain relevant in the moments that matter and create a consistent pipeline of creator partnerships across the business. Twelve months from now, this person will have helped establish a deeper bench of trusted creator relationships and a more scalable approach to activating talent across the business, with clear learnings on how creators drive results. This is a remote-based role reporting to the Senior Manager, Influencer Marketing.

What you will cook up in your first year

This is an exciting opportunity to build a scalable, always-on creator ecosystem that strengthens Instacart’s brand.

  • Build a scalable, always-on creator engine: Establish and manage a consistent pipeline of 6โ€“12 creator partnerships per month, creating a reliable source of creator content and partnerships.
  • Bring an established network and grow strong creator relationships: Come into the role with trusted relationships across creators, talent managers, agents, and influencer agencies, and grow them further.
  • Deliver creator partnerships efficiently and responsibly: Own creator budgets, negotiations, contracting, usage rights, exclusivity, and performance tracking.
  • Make creators a stronger resource across the business: Become a trusted creator partner to Brand Marketing, Organic Social, Product Marketing, and CPG co-marketing teams.
  • Keep Instacart ahead of creator culture: Proactively identify emerging talent, formats, platforms, and cultural opportunities, using performance data to guide decisions.

How you will spend your time

  • 80% โ€” Always-on creator partnerships: ongoing relationship management, content collaboration, and organic and paid creator work.
  • 10% โ€” Trend spotting: emerging creator culture analysis, platform trend forecasting, and identifying new creators.
  • 10% โ€” Experiential support: support the creator components of experiential programs throughout the calendar year.

The secret ingredients we are looking for

  • You live and breathe creator culture. You are chronically online in the best way and genuinely curious about pop culture, emerging social trends, and creators.
  • You are a relationship builder. You know the creator ecosystem and have strong relationships with creators, talent managers, agents, and agencies.
  • You know how to get a deal done. You are comfortable navigating creator rates, negotiations, deliverables, usage, exclusivity, and budgets.
  • You are an operator at heart. You can take a fast-moving project from idea to launch, bringing structure to ambiguity and staying ahead of deadlines.
  • You communicate before someone has to ask. You proactively share updates, manage up, flag risks early, close loops, and make sure partners always know what is happening.
  • You understand the bigger picture. You see creators as more than a channel and understand how the right talent and ideas can strengthen a brand.
  • You thrive in the pace of culture. You are comfortable moving quickly, adapting when plans change, and collaborating across Social, Brand, and other teams.
